The vines of Philodendron lacerum is found in nature in Jamaica in areas where there is moist woodland. Districts in Jamaica that have an abundance of this plant are St. Mary, St. Ann, St. Catherine and Westmoreland. The terrain is often difficult to reach and hazardous.
